Excitement bubbles within me as I hold the April issue of one of my favourite magazines, ‘Social and Personal,’ in my hands. My heart skips a beat as I realise the section titled “Arty Brew” is about me. My collaboration with the Galway Hooker Brewery had made it into the April ’24 Mood board.
Being featured in “Social and Personal” has always been a dream of mine, but to see my name and work celebrated in its pages is beyond surreal. Looking at my piece on the mood board, I’m reminded of the countless hours spent collaborating and experimenting with the talented team at Galway Hooker Brewery. Together, we’ve crafted something truly special—two unique beers that embodies the essence of Galway’s rich heritage and the spirit of innovation that defines its people.

Galway-based artist Cathy Hughes has teamed up with Galway Hooker Craft Brewery to introduce a unique beer collaboration that celebrates the essence of Irish culture in the form of ‘Galway Girl’ and ‘Wild Sea Swimmers, which honour Ireland’s rich heritage and natural beauty.
